The Aggressive Behavior of Camila after Parents’ Divorce

This video is about the story of Camila, a 15 years old adolescent and her aggressive behaviour toward her mother Betsy. They live in Santo Domingo with the younger sister Gabriela. Mother and father split several years ago and Camila got caught in their divorce. Father emigrated by himself to New York and recently remarried. Betsy felt betrayed by the husband, hoping to join him in New York with the kids. The consultation was held in Santo Domingo: mother, the two children and the local therapist Omar are present in the session. Maurizio Andolfi shows his ability to engage Camila in the exploration of family life before and after the parent’s separation and to give to her a competent role. His aim is to empower the mother in her parental role without feeling intimidated by her parents and to restore healthy boundaries after the parents’ divorce.
